Requirement: at least 1000 words, read attached readings

Prompt: What do you make of Cellini’s relations with his patrons? On a very few occasions, both he and his patron are happy; more often, both of them are frustrated and furious. When things go well, why do they go well? When things end in a blowup, as with Duke Cosimo and the Perseus, is it because the patron is unwilling to supply what Cellini wants, or because he is unable to understand what Cellini wants? How clearly does Cellini himself understand what he wants from patrons?
