CIS 206 Week 4 Course Project | Assignment Help | Devry University

Week 4 Course Project

This Course Project has three parts. The first part involves building a perfect PC. The second part involves sharing projects with classmates. The third part involves creating scripts in Windows and Linux.

Phase 1: The CIS206 project is designed to help you apply what you are learning using current hardware and software options to build a PC that meets a specific purpose. Although the first phase of the project is due in Week 4, you will begin working in Week 1 and continue adding components to your computer through the time the project is due at the end of Week 4. Start by selecting the purpose of your computer and a budget. Then you can work to select components for your PC based on what you are learning in class. Download the project report template and create a spreadsheet in Week 1. (Remember, you will be turning in these two files in Week 4.) Build on these as you work on building your perfect PC for the purpose and budget you have selected. Note: You do not have to actually build a physical computer, you are only researching the components that will go into building your PC and then use the project deliverable template and Excel spreadsheet to report your findings.

Phase 2: All projects will be shared with classmates. Students should comment on the classmates' projects and fill out the review sheet for two classmates.

Phase 3: The third phase of this project combines your knowledge of hardware and software to create both Windows and Linux scripts. Just as with phase 1, start early on this phase as well. The Windows scripting will introduce you to scripting and then you will create a backup script for your most important files. Refer to the guidelines for Phase 3 document for instructions. Submit the lab report located in the Guidelines section.
