Film Summary: Peter Gibbons hates his job – with good reason. He works for a computer firm that treats its employees like cogs in a machine. The company is top-heavy with impersonal managers who bombard their employees with memos and pounce on the smallest infractions of office policy. As a result, the employees lack motivation and feel little commitment to the organization. They also feel defensive any time that they are approached by a manager.
