Topic 1: Read Chapters 2 and 6, meet and brainstorm with your teams, and compose a technical definition with technical description. Find an example of a technical description in your home or workplace. Keep in mind the rhetorical situation (subject, purpose, readers, and context) for which the description was written. Analyze its content, organization, style, and design to determine the ways in which the description is effective or needs improvement. You will want to "profile your reader" to determine how best to communicate with him/her in analyzing your chosen description.
