BSA 375 Week 1 Learning Team Assignment   Charter

Create your teams Learning Team Charter Instructions: Collaborate with your other team members on team leader, team policies, etc. and fill out the Learning Team Charter document.  When completing this assignment, consider the following:

- A good team has a designated team leader (either one each week or one for the whole class) - Each team member is expected to collaborate every week (keep that in mind when assigning tasks) - When completing the charter, teams are not required to wait for input from 'missing' team members. - The charter may be submitted to Assignments at any point before the due date provided that  

* All team members have contributed to the charter     - or -   

* The team leader has posted a deadline (Monday at 7 PM Arizona Time for example) for input from team members and that time has passed. - All team members are bound to the terms of the charter, whether they participate in it or not.

Be thoughtful when developing the Charter - when students contact me with issues involving other team members, I normally refer then back to their team charter.

 BSA 375 Week 2 Learning Team Assignment Information Gathering Techniques

Instructions: Consider the following fictitious scenario: A large chain restaurant hires your team as consultants.  The restaurant executives are launching a new marketing campaign that guarantees customers receive their food within 20 minutes or they receive a free dessert.  They believe they can use their IT software systems to assist with this marketing campaign, but need guidance.  They have hired your team to gather information from the restaurant employees and managers to see where improvements can be made. Prepare a survey/questionnaire that your team will give to all restaurant employees and managers about process improvements. Prepare a list of interview questions your team will ask senior restaurant employees about process improvements. As a team, write a 1- to 2-page executive summary that analyzes and explains the survey/questionnaire and the interview questions you have created. Determine how these information-gathering tools will find answers the executives are seeking. Format your summary according to APA guidelines. Instructions: Resource: Ch. 10, "Designing Forms and Reports". Design two forms for a new software application or business web app that will collect data from its user. Draw these two forms.  You may use free tools, such as Pencil Project, Microsoft® Paint, Mockabilly (and many others) to create the mock-up interfaces; or you may draw the new forms on a piece of paper and then, take a picture of it.
