Assignment 1: Business Plan for Room for Dessert

Within the context of the “Room for Dessert” case study, take on the role of an investor. Determine if you would make an investment in RFD by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed business plan. Consider the Sahlman article “How to Write a Great Business Plan” as you complete the assignment.

For this assignment, write a 5–7 page paper in which you do the following:

1. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the “people” factor.

2. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the “opportunity” factor.

3. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the “context” factor.

4. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the “risk and reward” factor.
