Individual: Systems Analysis and Design

The software industry is changing drastically with regards to information technology. There are degrees and certifications offered at most universities related to information technology. Most individuals interested in pursuing a career in the software development industry do not know what positions are available or what is needed to achieve these positions. 

Research job posting systems; for example Monster or CareerBuilder; to find the background and job requirements for different systems analysts, business analysts, and software engineering positions.

Use the software of your choice; such as Microsoft® Excel®, LucidChart or Piktochart; to develop a job chart of at least five positions.

For each position, your chart should include the following:

• Education
• Certifications
• Skills required
• Experience needed

Your chart should include positions that cover:

• A Project Manager (Week One topic).
• A System Planning position (Week Two topic).
• A System Design/Programming position (Week Three topic).
• A User Interface/User Experience position (Week Four topic).
• A System Operations and Maintenance position (Week Five topic).
