You hear of a man on vacation in San Francisco. He is standing by a control lever for one of the trolleys famous for moving on the steep hills.  He looks up the hill and sees a trolley without a driver moving dangerously fast down the hill.  Directly in front of it is a group of 5 tourists frozen in their tracks with fear of being run over.  As he quickly scans the alternate track, there is one person crossing on the track.  If he flips the switch, the trolley will kill the one person, if he does nothing, it will kill the 5 tourists.  What does he do, and why?
