f.       Choose the following article:  The Scientific Legacy of Sigmund Freud: Toward a psychodynamically informed psychological science.

3.      Read the Illustrative Biography of Adolf Hitler (Chapter Two)

4.      Answer the Activity Questions

Activity Questions:

1.      In a brief paragraph, and in your own words, define personality.  What are the important influences on personality?  How important do you think it is for personality theory to be evaluated according to scientific criteria?  Is the scientific method too limiting?

2.      After reading the above listed article and Chapter Two, describe Freud’s theory in a brief paragraph.  Next compare/contrast how it is different today?  Does his theory still apply?  Why/why not?   Be specific.

3.      After reading the Illustrative Biography of Adolf Hitler, what are your thoughts?  How do you think his personality was formed?  What other things do we need to consider in his personality development?

4.  How has this assignment impacted you?  What did you learn?
