Delegation Presentation

Purpose of Assignment 

The purpose of this assignment is to examine delegation best practices and determine how delegation can be leveraged in organizations to enhance individual and team performance. 

Assignment Steps 

Scenario: Your manager has tasked you with developing a proposal to enhance employee performance within the department. The departmental mix is very diverse and embodies generational differences and your manager has found it difficult to encourage team building. You are scheduled to present your proposal to the management team in the upcoming planning meeting. 

Prepare a 7- to 10-slide PowerPoint® presentation (with speaker notes) in which you identify how organizations benefit from effective delegation practices/principles. Your presentation should address the performance challenges and should include recommendations to improve performance through delegation, empowerment, and team development. 

Include the following:

  • Describe delegation best practices, processes and principles.
  • Identify the steps involved in building effective teams/cohesiveness/unity.
  • Explain how managers can use delegation to improve individual and team performance.
  • Examine how managers benefit from delegation.

Cite a minimum of two peer-reviewed references in your presentation.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
