Task:
1.) Paper should be between at least 3 full pages in length. This means that the last page reaches the bottom of page 3. Page length does NOT include cover page or works cited page. Short papers will be subject to additional point deductions for basic format, original thoughts and evidence criteria per the rubric. Double spaced, 12 font, & typed.
2.) Paper should be on ONE topic being covered by the news that you feel impacts your life or is relevant for the community. Take a position in support or against when discussing the issue. For example, in support of vote by mail or in opposition of vote by mail when discussing the topic of the impact of coronavirus and possible vote by mail for the 2020 Presidential election.
a. Other possible topics: immigration or illegal immigration, Black Lives Matter Movement, Electoral College, etc.
