biology: animal behaviour

Is there a fatal flaw (probably not because it’s already published) in the scientific logic? How could the authors reasonably change the experimental design?
It is not enough to say the authors need a larger sample size. However, if you do a power analysis that shows their sample size is small for their effect size, you are welcome to bring that critique.)Is there another small experiment they could add that would round out their conclusions or fill knowledge gaps/assumptions they claim to address? Are their analyses appropriate for the questions they’re asking and the data they’ve collected?Did they check that their data met the assumptions of their statistical models (e.g. normality)? Are there important papers related to this work that the authors haven’t cited? (If so, cite the paper as if you’re writing a paper yourself and add the citation to your reference list– references do not count toward page/word limit.)Do the figures clearly display the data their captions describe? Are they referred to within the text appropriately?
