What would you do?
You serve as a warden of a medium-security facility. Officer Corrick, who has worked in the facility for three years, comes to your office one day. He says that he's thinking about applying to a position in another career field.
According to Corrick, he feels depressed and as though he isn't moving ahead in his career. Corrick is one of your best officers. Do you think this is an indication of officer burnout?
What would you say to Corrick? How might you encourage Corrick to remain employed with the facility?
