Task:
Unemployment is a social-economic phenomenon that exists in many different periods and in all economies. The high unemployment rate will have significant impacts on the social life as well as the economy of each nation in particular and the global economy in general. The economic crisis in the United States (US) and Europes (EU) countries spread throughout the world, causing the global economy to face many difficulties: slowing growth, inflation and especially high unemployment. My goal in this paper to analyze the United States unemployment rate in recent years and the measures taken by United States government to reduce unemployment.
To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper into 3 main sections, two of which have sub-sections. In the first section, I have provided information by considering 5 important rationales for unemployment: definition, classification of unemployment (based on type, reason, origin, modern analysis of unemployment), causes of unemployment, impacts of unemployment and measures to lower unemployment rate (for natural unemployment and cyclical unemployment). In the second section, I discuss three main ideas based on practical facts about unemployment in United States. The first sub-section of part two is to analyze the unemployment situation in US during the last 5 years, including an overview of the unemployment situation, classification by urban and rural areas, by regions in US and by employment in labor market. From that point on, the cause of unemployment in the US will be clarified in the next second sub-sections. The last subsection of second section is US government's unemployment solutions based on the country's economic situation policy; state management policies (unemployment insurance); and policies on education and training, improving the quality of labor resources. I will conclude with a third section that dicusses the importance developing this research paper. I also plan to include an appendix after citing the work that contains data from some business report sources I examined and used it for reference.
