PADM 530 WEEK 4 DISCUSSION
Discussion Board Forum 2
Create a SWOT analysis of the location you have chosen for your Case Study Project. A SWOT analysis is an assessment of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing this city/ town. Feel free to look up examples of SWOT analyses online to help you with this project. This analysis will become a part of your final project, so it would be wise to heavily invest in the process of creating this SWOT. In your bibliography, be sure to include any resources that you found helpful in explaining the SWOT analysis. This may help your peers who are struggling with creating their own SWOT analysis, and it will help you all as you approach the final stage in your case study project.
Discussion Board Forum Instructions
You will participate in 3 Discussion Board Forums.
Responding to a classmate’s post requires both the addition of new ideas and analysis. A particular point made by the classmate must be addressed and built upon by your analysis in order to move the conversation forward. Thus, the response post is a rigorous assignment that requires you to build upon initial posts to develop deeper and more thorough discussion of the ideas introduced in the initial posts. As such, reply posts that merely affirm, restate or unprofessionally quarrel with the previous post(s) and fail to make a valuable, substantive contribution to the discussion will receive appropriate point deductions.
This course utilizes the Post-First feature in all Discussion Board Forums with the exception of Forum 2. This means you will only be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads after you have submitted your thread in response to the provided prompt. For additional information on Post-First, click here for a tutorial.
You must post your thread of 600 words or more by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned module/week. Then, you must reply to at least 2 peers’ threads in 200 words or more by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the same module/week.
