CJUS 610 WEEK 3 DISCUSSION

Discussion Board Forum 2 Thread

Topic: Environment

Thinkabout two environments you have experienced.

  1. The first environment is one that did not confrontthe brutal facts, where the people (and the truth) were not heard.
  2. Thesecond environment is one that did confrontthe brutal facts, wherepeople had a tremendous opportunity to be heard.

Whataccounts for the difference between the two environments? If you do not havethis life experience you are not off the hook—you will need to interview aleader who has these experiences and report on that. What does the contrastteach us about how to construct an environment where the truth is heard? Usingstrong Biblical support, explain how you relate this to your ChristianWorldview? Does your Christian Worldview help you develop this environment? Howdoes this relate to the ethical components of the Meese and Ortmeier text?

Discussion Board Instructions

There are 3 Discussion Board Forum questions, along with reading assignments for each Discussion Board Forum. You will complete the assigned readings and post a 400-word thread answering the Discussion Board question assigned from the readings. Threads require a minimum of 3 properly formatted citations. The thread must be submitted in the Discussion Board Forum’s textbox as well as a properly formatted, current APA Word document.

You will post a 250-word reply to 2classmate’s threads. The reply requires a minimum of 1 properly formatted citation. Each replymust be completed by you, the individual student. Additionally, each thread and reply must reflect a solid Christian worldview through the use of at least 1 Holy Bible reference.

Responding to a classmate’s post requires both the addition of new ideas and analysis. A particular point made by the classmate must be addressed and built upon by your analysis in order to move the conversation forward. Thus, the response post is a rigorous assignment that requires you to build upon initial posts to develop deeper and more thorough discussion of the ideas introduced in the initial posts. As such, reply posts that merely affirm, restate, or unprofessionally quarrel with the previous post(s) and fail to make a valuable, substantive contribution to the discussion will receive appropriate point deductions.

This course utilizes the Post-First feature in all Discussion Board Forums. This means you will only be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads after you have submitted your thread in response to the provided prompt. For additional information on Post-First, click here for a tutorial.

Threads are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the module/week in which they are assigned. Replies are due by11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sundayof the following module/week.
