In this class, you have been presented with a variety of peer-reviewed articles. You read the Fundamentals of Research in Criminology and Criminal Justiceby Bachman and Schutt. You also read The Mismeasure of Crime by Mosher, Miethe, and Hart. Discuss the following prompts:

• How should research be used in criminal justice decisions and criminal justice policy development?
• Explain a gap in understanding the findings in academic, peer-reviewed criminal justice research and practitioner policy development. What can be done to close this gap?

This means you will only be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads after you have submitted your thread in response to the provided prompt. Each thread:

• Must have a minimum of 2peer reviewed references properly formatted in current APA.
• Must be submitted in the Discussion Board Forum’s textbox. It must be properly formatted and in current APA format (attachments will not be accepted).
• Must have a substantive Christian worldview backed by a solid Holy Bible reference.

You will reply to 2 classmates’ threads; each reply must be150words and must have a minimum of 1 academic/scholarly reference. Each reply must contain 1–2 sentences addressing issues, questions, or statements from a Christian worldview.

Responding to a classmate’s post requires both the addition of new ideas and analysis. A particular point made by the classmate must be addressed and built upon by your analysis in order to move the conversation forward. Thus, the response post is a rigorous assignment that requires you to build upon initial posts to develop deeper and more thorough discussion of the ideas introduced in the initial posts. As such, reply posts that merely affirm, restate, or unprofessionally quarrel with the previous post(s) and fail to make a valuable, substantive contribution to the discussion will receive appropriate point deductions.

Submit your thread by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday of the assigned modules/weeks. Submit your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the same modules/weeks except for Module/Week 8. In Module/Week 8, submit your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday.
