ICT601 Business Analytics

The assignment will involve you performing a set of analyses on a given dataset in order to answer a number of questions relevant to that dataset.
We have been using the Global Superstore data set for several of the Workshop Exercises so far in the unit. This assignment will require you to use that dataset, suggest some other datasets that might be used to answer the questions, and to perform a number of analyses. You will present these analyses in a written document as well as creating and submitting a Tableau dashboard to demonstrate the analyses.
Task 01:
Determine whether any of the Australian States or Territories had a negative profit (loss) in 2014.
Provide a possible explanation as to why this might be the case.
Task 02:
Determine which Australian State or Territory had the highest Sales in the period 2011-2014.
Provide a possible explanation as to why this might be the case.
Task 03:

Describe which Product Category has the highest total sales (in dollars).
Explain how this is related to the Profit for that Product Category.
Provide a possible explanation as to why this might be the case.

Task 04:
Describe how the Sales and Profits for Western Australia and Victoria have changed over the period 2011-2014.
Provide a possible explanation as to why this might be the case.
