Topic 2: Applying the POLC Model
Before starting this Discussion, please complete the Reading.
In this Discussion, you will review Henri Fayol’s revised management theory (POLC) and apply it to the management of the company where you work, or your ideal business. In addition to reading about management functions and planning on page 175 Chapter 6.
Read about the POLC model based on Henri Fayol’s theories. Whether you are a manager or a potential future manager, or an employee within an organization, you will benefit from better understanding and becoming competent in the four functions of management.
Respond to the following:
- How does your company apply the four functions of management ( Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling)?
- What evidence do you have that they do planning and organizing?
- What evidence is there that they lead the organization?
- How do they control behavior and results in the organization?
