Learning Team Term Project 
The term project will consist of a 12-15 page paper on a current Human Resources Management problem. Learning Teams will select a human resource management problem that is being faced by a local public or non-profit organization. Research will include the following organization and areas of study: a) Abstract; b) Background of the organization; c) Definition of the problem and how it relates to public administration; d) History of the problem with an analysis of the underlying causes; e) Problem analysis; f) Recommendations to address the problem; and g) Works cited. 
 
Teams will conduct graduate level research as well as interview at least one HR representative from the agency to gain a better appreciation of the problem and ascertain what efforts, if any, the agency is undertaking to address the problem.  
 
Learning Teams will develop a presentation of their research using powerpoint, videos, etc., and present their findings on the tenth (last) week of class. The paper will be due on Session Nine. A term paper outline is due the second week of class.  Term project progress reports are due periodically.  Research areas include the following:
