same cost in one other pharmacy? Which pharmacy provides the best price?
2. Are
these medications typically covered under your prescription plan? What
procedure do you follow with your prescription plan to appeal your denial of a
medication?
3. Were
you able to adhere with the therapeutic regimen? Why or why not? What changes
would you need to make in your life to adhere to this therapeutic regimen?
4. What
is the mechanism of action of these medications? What is the rationale for
these medications in the disease process?
5. What
are the three most frequently observed adverse effects of these medications?
How would these adverse effects interfere with your normal life style?
6. Supposed
you needed to take an over the counter medication. What could you take for Cold
or Flu? What could you take for GI upset? What over the counter medications
could you take that would not cause a medication interaction with this
therapeutic regimen? Or be contraindicated based on your chronic illness?
7. What
about drinking an alcoholic beverage with this therapeutic regimen?
8.If
a person taking these medications become pregnant, would the medication have to
be modified? How? What other important issues need to be examined for pregnant
or lactating women?
9.How can patients learn about their
therapeutic regimen? What are other sources of information available for
patients?
