CRJ 320 WEEK 6 Discussion
Criminalist Pete Evett is collecting fiber evidence from a murder scene. He notices fibers on the victim- shirt and trousers, so he places both of these items of clothing in a plastic bag. He also sees fibers on a sheet near the victim, so he balls up the sheet and places it in separate plastic bag. Noticing fibers adhering to the windowsill from which the attacker gained entrance, Pete carefully removes it with his fingers and places it in a regular envelope. What mistakes, if any, did Pete make while collecting this evidence?

Be sure to tie your thoughts and ideas back to the concepts in the text or lecture notes and relevant peer reviewed sources. Also, remember you will need to submit your initial post and two substantive responses to a peer response or follow-up to have a chance at receiving full credit. The discussion forums are an important part of the course. As such, your initial post needs to be a minimum of 200 words. Posting “I agree†with a simple restatement is not considered substantive. Citations and references are required for you to have a chance for full credit. Your grade will depend not only on your incorporation of these elements but also the demonstration of critical thinking skills and logical analysis.
