Every employee in medical setting must understand clearly and work within the scope of practice for his or her discipline. Ignoring culture in attempting to refocus the values orientation of an organization is similar to ignoring causes and treating values. Organizations need to establish a commonly agreed upon set of ethical standards to guide decisions when individuals are confronted with conflicting obligations, cost-benefit trade-offs, and competing value choices. Training and educating employees will broaden their knowledge as to what needs to be implemented and set forth the organization mission.
