Are people considered products under international law? Come to think of it, if the person comes to work here, and develops the product here as an employee of a US company, why would international law have any bearing? Anyone? Question 2 are the profits to be gained in a given part of the world worth the risk of loss (property or lives)". Of course the obvious answer would be no, yet when trying to compete in a global market the answer would be different. As with anything in business there must be a risk taken. When China is mentioned I often think of the way they have stolen a lot of intellectual property and continue to do so. I am not sure if importing or exporting had to do with this as much as companies outsourcing does. In the end it does have everything to do with the U.S. doing business with another country and them turning around and profiting. At the end of the day yes globally we should be able to compete as well as produce a great quality product ourselves. Why is the risk of property loss obviously not worth it? Particularly if the potential rewards far outweigh the cost of losing the property???
