1.5ASSIGNMENT:INDIVIDUAL COUNTRY PROJECT - PART ONE INTRODUCTION During this course, you will be compiling an in-depth research study on one country. One part of the studywill be compiled each week into a paper that is worth 90 points. The final compiled paper is due Workshop Five and is worth 40 points. Thus, the project will be worth a total of 400 points. In addition to your paper, you will also peer review four sections of other students’ papers. Thisindividual project will look at cultural factors a business wouldhave to consider in making a strategic decision to move into another country. There are five parts to this project. One part is due in Workshop One. Additional parts and a peer review are due at the end of Workshops Two, Three, and Four. All of these parts are then combined into a final paper in Workshop Five. It is important that each week- work is comprehensive. A minimum of ten references are required for the final project. Your grade will depend on the thoroughness of the information presented. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Prepare three or more pages describing the following about your country. a. Location - continent, bordering countries etc. b. Topography - mountainous, desert, size, etc. c. Population - demographics and size. d. Very brief history emphasizing points that are significant to doing global business (Example: Germany - Fall of the Berlin wall). e. Natural resources - emphasize those important to doing business in the country. f. Economy. 2. Your project paper should be formatted according to the following: a. For Workshops One through Four, a title page and page numbers are not required. However, subtitles, Statement of Academic Honesty, in-text citations, and a properly formatted reference page are required (refer to the APA 6e Guide). b. In Workshop Five when you compile all four parts into one paper, at which time you will add the title page and page numbers. c. The final paper should be fully APA formatted (per APA 6e Guide). This paper should be double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font, with one inch margins on all sides. 3. Save your Part Onepaperas a Word document and submit it in two places: a. In the Individual Country Project - Part One discussion forum, post your Part 1 Word document. b. On the Course Menu, select Course Material. Then select Workshop One, and submit your paper using the Individual Country Project - Part One assignment tool by the end of the workshop
