He is licensed as an LPN and is certified as a medical assistant.  He is handling all the phone calls while the receptionist and all other staff are at lunch.  A patient calls and says he must have a prescription for Valium, an antidepressant medication, called in immediately to his pharmacy since he is leaving for the airport in 30 minutes.  He says that Dr. England is a personal friend and has always given him a small supply of Valium as he becomes very anxious when he has to fly.  What does Jerry- healthcare education/training qualify him to do, or limit him in doing, in this case?  As the healthcare administrator of Dr. England- practice, how do you know what the scope of practice is for the different healthcare providers employed in the practice?  What resources are available to you to keep up-to-date on the scope of practice and license/certification status of those employed by the practice? 250 words
