Checks and Balances

It has been said that America is one of the world- youngest countries, but has one of the oldest “Constitutions”, namely because so many other countries changed theirs after seeing the “checks and balances” system. This week, outline the system, in essence explain each way a branch can ‘check” another. 

    After analyzing the checks and balances system, can you make an argument as to which branch is most powerful, and which is least? 
    Many people feel the branches are equal in power, but the Founding Fathers did not make them this way, why? 
    Finally, how are the branches changing, and who is gaining power and who is losing?
